Zaire Franklin won that game for us with that hit on Derrick Henry. Henry would have rushed for another TD.

Well, we had a rookie starting at quarterback. Expecting more than 5 wins is a little crazy.
I’m just worried about the Titans on Sunday.
We’re better than one of those teams … maybe?
We are blessed with all easy schedule, and if the defense continues to play well, we just might sneak into the playoffs, where we’ll likey lose in the first round, but we’ll have a chip and a chair. Maybe we’ll get lucky with injuries around playoff time.
But right now, we have to beat the Titans without Grove.
That’s an MS Word table if I’ve ever seen one. They haven’t changed the feature since Word 6.
It’ll be nice to have Ogletree out there again. It should help in the running game.
Pierce is a developing deep ball receiver. We just don’t happen to have a deep ball quarterback ATM. Peirce has actually done a pretty good job of staying relevant by blocking on wide receiver screens and outside runs.
Changing from wide receiver to TE is a bigger jump than just putting on weight. It’s adding strength, changing your skill set, and adjusting how you approach the game. Just because you can block a 180 pound cornerback doesn’t mean that you can block a 210 pound linebacker.
Pierce needs to get better at winning off the line, achieving leverage on the defensive backs, sitting down in open space versus zone coverage, and expanding his route tree. Those are areas of improvement for him.
He might not ever get to the next level, but if you want a tight end, why not just get a tight end rather than taking a thin guy and trying to convert him?
I’m amazed that you were able to parse who I was talking about, being so far off and all. Good on you for figuring out that I meant Derrick Henry rather than Derek Henry. That must have been confusing for you.
Josh Downs wasn’t really a surprise to me. I expected him to make a difference in his rookie year and ultimately to be an NFL star. His college tape was just too good for him to be a miss.
Moss being the running back that he’s been caught me completely by surprise though. I didn’t expect that shit at all.
Better hang that banner quick. We face Derek Henry without Grover Stewart on the field on Sunday.
If Henry rushes for 150 yards, we’ll lose that game, guaranteed. And I’m not really sure exactly how we can keep him from doing just that.
The most Chargers’ way to lose ever. Herbert gets them back into the game, and the defense gives up a 40-yard touchdown on third and 3.
Right tackle going early so much.
That hurt to watch.
The Chargers’ defensive backs seem completely unable to make a play of any kind.
Oh shit. A Shogun remake. Loved the original.
That could go either way. They’ll probably go with the field ruling.
JT ain’t going out of bounds!
We should’ve taken the field goal. They get the stop and field position.
If you don’t pressure Mayfield, he can absolutely kill you.
Shane Steichen accomplishes in his first session what Frank Reich never did: A season sweep of the Tennessee Titans. She Steichen did it with Gardner Minshew at quarterback. Amazing.
