  • I love my wife, she can’t drive for shit though, nor does she respect vehicle maintenence, much less asthetic care.

    Nope.

Also, she’s literally told me she’d be afraid to drive my car precisely because I keep it so nice and she doesn’t want to be responsible for fucking it up.

  • As someone on their second foldable, fold 3 now fold 6, the crease is truly, I promise you, a non issue. Unless you’re doing detained drawing with the S-pen, not my use case, it has no meaningful effect on the experience. For single person consumption, you almost have to consciously try to position it in a way that’s visible when watching a video, for example.

I’d actually miss the crease, as it gives the screen a kind of magic book-esque quality. The biggest problem with foldables in my experience is the odd aspect ratio universal to all of them, something a tri fold design may actually mitigate.

  • I understand the point. But it misses an extremely important factor: technology.

Yes, humans have played pretend we were this world’s owners/masters since civilization began.

But our toolbox is filled with tech that can literally reverse terraform the climate against us, and we’re using it with abandon and without restraint. Add to that AI, CRISPR derived bioweapons, etc. We’ve gotten to the point where we cobble together yet another means of world wide destruction every decade or two, and we all know we’re too stupid and selfish not to for the prospect of short term, individual gain.

They were monkeys with spears and swords, a threat to rival monkey tribes, but in no way the entire species. We are monkeys with nukes and beyond.
