He’s not wrong though. Americans are considered generally lazy and rather entitled. If you hire 10 people, odds are at least one of those people is going to cause you some kind of drama or unwanted inefficiency.

They’re all criminals.
Considering also, how much they all complained about handing out checks during the pandemic…this just makes no sense. Now they’re fine handing out even bigger checks, just to replace the people they’re obsessed with deporting?
That is sage advice. I think I’ve been doing it wrong, this whole time.
The dislike of Discovery is a totally valid opinion, but this is a poor & disrespectful take.
Except this is what I disliked about Discovery. You’d have ten minutes of activity that actually moved the plot forward, followed by twenty minutes of crew “checking in” with each other in order to discuss everyone’s feelings about what just happened while also rehashing events from past episodes. It was like watching a Spanish telenovela, where every second piece of dialogue was intended to remind you of what happened in the last episode…just in case you forgot.
Every episode was 3/4 dialogue, discussing what we all watched happen in the first 1/4. It felt like every season should have taken 3 episodes…not 14. In the last couple of seasons, I literally skipped entire episodes, and it did nothing to impact the plot.
Thank God. This would have been 2 straight hours of mind-numbing dialogue between characters about how much they’ve been through together and how much they’re going to miss each other.
According to court documents, the only “evidence” they have that he was a gang member, is the testimony of an unidentified informant that was never cross examined in court. He testified on paper that Garcia was a member of a branch of MS-13 that is only active in a part of New York that Garcia had never been to before.
This is insane. They just keep lying about this guy, even after admitting they were wrong, in court. You can’t tell the truth to a judge and then walk out of the courtroom and say the opposite to the media outside. What the fuck?
“I really thought things would change after this administration, when we have Mr. Trump in office, things would change to the better,” Atallah said. “Things actually changed to the worse.”
And, all of a sudden…I stopped feeling bad for this guy.
That is a rather apt description.
Well, serves them right for getting married, then. /s
First time I saw one, I was a kid riding shotgun in my uncle’s pickup truck. We were driving pretty fast down this old logging road, on our way out to cut some firewood at an old clearcut site.
All of a sudden there was this big brown wall of fur right outside my window. I couldn’t even tell what it was until my uncle gently slowed down to let it pass us. The thing’s shoulder was just higher than the top of the truck, and it was running just as fast as us, when it came out of the bush and started running along beside us. Its antlers were almost as wide as the truck was.
We just kept slowing down to give him some space, and it just kept going at full speed until he disappeared around a bend. I didn’t even have time to be scared…just in shock at how massive it was. It nearly broke my brain.
My uncle just said something like, “Holy shit, that was close! That would have destroyed my truck if we hit him.”
That’s not “lifesize”. That’s more like “half-size”.
Yeah, never watched it. I’m not that much of a masochist.
