  • OP was talking about the on-court product. There are still people not paying close attention that think KAT-Rudy on court, or either one with Naz, actually works as an on-court product.

All of the trade stuff from national media is also just pure speculation based on known realities of the second apron. No one knows what the orgs plans are.

Without a doubt the front office and ownership are currently devising different strategies based on what our record and seeding is by the trade deadline. But I don’t think any of them are actually talking to national media, other teams, or agents about those strategies at this time.

There’s also the fact that if we do continue like this and Rudy is a DPOY again, and KAT makes All-Star and All-NBA based on his playing, their trade value will increase. Prior to this season, the trade value for both was in the basement. MN will never get back for either of them what they gave up for Rudy, but they’ll get something.

  • That the sins and flaws of our GMs are something that fans can and should be mocked for.

The way that the people who harp on wasting KG’s prime, drafting 2 PGs ahead of Steph, having Jimmy embarrass us, and the Gobert trade are some sort of weapon to use against us as fans. That we should be ashamed and just move on to cheering for another team, because our “poverty franchise” is always gonna be a “poverty franchise.”

It’s the under current that exists in every “Play-In Champions” joke, whether that joke is made on Reddit by some other fan, or if it’s the Inside the NBA crew laughing at us.

Not every one is like this. But those that like to bring these things up as an argument against a Wolves fan (and there are plenty of these people), this is definitely present: our franchise are stupid losers, and we’re stupid losers for following them and wanting them to succeed.

  • You really can’t compare KG to any of the people you mentioned. It would have to be Duncan, Webber and Dirk. And we know that Dirk is the best shooter out of those 3.

Also, I don’t think anyone ever said that KG was an elite scorer, so no idea where this is coming g from. He was however, and absolute amazing all around player who spent his prime averaging 20/10/5 as a defensive anchor.

A major knock on him in the Minnesota media during his prime was that he was not doing the sort of AI/Kobe “put the team on my back and take all the shots” sort of player.

Overall sounds like you just want to take KG down a peg for some bizarre reason, when there’s no need to do so.
