I think Adams has more gas left in the tank, but Evans is a free agent and can probably choose what QB he wants to play with from here on. I’d say Evans for that reason.
Considering Watt is the greatest player in our team history, had the greatest peak of any defensive player of all time, and our current biggest need is at D-Line… it’s hard to even consider anyone else.
Jags deserve their A, Texans also deserve an A, and the refs deserve and F- and a trip to the center of the sun. What should have been a hell of a fun contest was absolutely ruined with horrible ref ball throughout.
Hebert was underwhelming which puts me in a bad position needing Josh Dobbs to have a really bad game. That’s whatever.
What really hurts is a couple of huge Tank Dell receptions were called off because of some horrible officiating.
Owen Daniels and then who honestly? Ryan Griffin was here for a long time but was never great. CJ Fiedorowicz was good but concussions kept him from becoming anything valuable. Schultz is probably already #2.
And ever since he came to his senses and fired him he’s been great with all his decisions for the franchise. He has clearly grown into the role and become a better owner.
Thanks for the cred brotha
I’m thankful for Cal McNair canning Jack Easterby and helping turn the culture around quickly.
I’m thankful for Nick Caserio building a great team of overlooked talents like Nico Collins and Tank Dell.
I’m thankful for DeMeco Ryans coming back to Houston and spear heading this new era with amazing energy and leadership.
I’m thankful for our MVP rookie CJ Stroud for putting us in contention immediately.
And lastly I’m thankful that JJ Watt still loves this team and stays connected.
I already forget David Culley was the head coach of the Texans. Before the season it was the worst hire I’ve ever seen, and then he actually kind of over performed, but still sucked really bad.
From the upper bowl I heard no boos. Friend on the other side of the upper bowl and I talked about how deafening the silence was for CJ. I actually heard some cheering for mills as a “next man up we support you” kind of thing.
The lack of offensive production in the 2nd half wasn’t on Slowik. CJ threw 2 redzone interceptions and we missed a field goal. The play calling was fine and it was working. Stroud just had a welcome to the NFL hit and was shaken up the rest of the game. Rookie learning moment, let’s be happy we still got the win and praise our defense for stepping up big
No because we aren’t very needy at receiver, I am a certified Justin Fields hater (not as a person but as an NFL QB), and it’s hard to hit on draft picks so those are still gambles.
CJ looks like the next big thing, so even if I thought fields was an average QB I wouldn’t do it. It’s hard to think of anything I would give him up for at this point that isn’t outrageous.
My parents were big Oilers fans. When the team left for Nashville, they pretty much lost any interest in the NFL.
2010 was when I started showing interest in the NFL, and of course the Texans. The stars we had on defense in those early years of my fandom really did set the bar high for my expectations for defense. DeMeco Ryans, Brian Cushing, Mario Williams, Kareem Jackson, Whitney Mercilus. JJ Watt certainly leaves a hole that is impossible to fill.
I’ve got to disagree. This is probably my favorite uniform combo I’ve seen for the Texans. It’s the most unique too. Distinctly our team.
I somewhat disagree. When you have a bunch of different uniforms, the brand isn’t as strong and they all kind of get lost. When an NFL season is only 17 games, I think 5 jerseys should probably be the max.
There was a loud minority of fans saying this was a bad QB class so we should just take Will Anderson or Jalen Carter and tank another year to get Caleb Williams. Hindsight is 20/20 but this was idiotic the days it came out of their mouths.
Just keep wearing those throwbacks and we’ll get there
My first ever season was 2015 and I knew nothing about fantasy football at that point. My notable picks were
Andrew Luck in the first round (got hurt).
Jeremy Hill in the second.
Randall Cobb in the third (he fell off this year).
Melvin Gordon in the fourth (a year too early).
Brandin Cooks in the fifth (his best season).
Allen Robinson in the ninth (huge year, amazing pick).
Danny Woodhead in the sixteenth (his best season, what a sleeper, I felt like a genius).
I ended up getting second to last place in the league, but obviously that didn’t deter me because 8 years later I’m a commissioner of a league 4 years strong and an addict. Still riding the high of Robinson and Woodhead.
Unexpected. I would have given it to Noah Brown but Singletary had a great game too.
I’ve trusted him all season and there only been one dud, and a couple low performing weeks. He’s been great considering his QB play and I think that will continue. I expect 13-18 points again and that’s a start.
