Kid Icarus: Uprising

It was in the bargain bin at my local Wal-mart, and I didn’t know anything about it, had never heard of the series before. I just saw a cheap game at the time when I was trying to flesh out my 3DS library. I didn’t have high expectations, if I’d never heard of it, it couldn’t be that good, right?

Turned out to be one of my favourite games of all time.

They are very good games! I replayed then recently on the NSO gameboy thing.

I also realized another hilariously stupid problem I had.

In the final battle with Onox, I didn’t realize I could bat the Din crystal away with the road of seasons, so I just tanked the recoil damage. It took me so long to finally beat that game because of that.

It was years later when a friend told me I could use the rod that way. I was gobsmacked. Replayed and had a much easier time.

In my defence, at no previous point in the game is the rod of seasons ever used in a combat setting, and I don’t recall any dialogue to hint at it.
