  • Nuke the team except Coby, maybe Ayo, and PW (only because PW is probably going to have a super low value in the offseason and given he’s like 22, can probably be signed relatively cheaply).

Coby needs a rim runner to pick and roll with. Vuc’s hands seem to be failing him for gathering entry passes and easy shots. I think Coby would play better with someone with more lift and speed, even if less offensively skilled.

Gonna be a long rebuild. Probably 2026-2027 season at the earliest before we see a good Bulls team.

  • Think you have to give them more value than LaVine for that package.

Harris is an expiring so he’s not really negative value despite his play.

Wiseman is probably kind of neutral value. Young, still some potential, but on an expiring contract so you have to figure out if you want to actually pay to keep him.

Ivey is a really interesting player but he’s an undersized shooting guard. Decent size for a PG, though, if you think he can develop that part of his game. Personally, I’d like to see Coby get more opportunities to drive and Ivey would be a bad fit on that front.

Throw in the 1st and I’m not sure LaVine is worth Ivey and a 1st and maybe some value with Wiseman, depending on your perspective.

  • We all know if the Bears went for it on 4th down they weren’t going to get it. This is the Bears. Forget even that Getsy probably calls a run up the middle to get stuffed. This is the Bears. The Bears have never had an offense that would make you feel confident they could make a 4th down to put a game away.

So I didn’t hate the FG. The next possession was WAYYY more problematic. The FG set them up to have a chance for kicking a FG to still win. Had like 29 seconds left to do so. We’ve seen a team with 17 seconds left and I think no timeouts get to FG range and beat the Bears.

So that wasn’t the problem. Wish we’d focus on the real problems and not about that possession.

  • “Coby White is not a point guard.”

Where y’all at? In the last 3 games, he has 6, 7, and 7 assists. Had 8 assists the first game of the season, which should have been 11 if some open shots were hit.

He’s not a world beater, but the narrative he isn’t developing a PG game just seemed like willful ignorance. He’s obviously showing signs of improved passing, driving, and court vision.

I hope he gets more chances to drive. Remember, he’s only 23. He can still improve here but if he even makes the 7 assists per game consistent, that’s a huge improvement from previous PG play.

  • They won’t get much for DDR, just FYI. Maybe a protected 1st and salary filler.

I don’t think that moves the needle on any rebuild except it starts the tank now instead of after this season.

You’d have to trade LaVine too. You won’t get much for LaVine given his contract and age either, though. Plus you’ll start the tank so like Washington, the leverage is low since you’d be broadcasting LaVine is for sale.

This idea that we HAVE to trade DDR NOW or we’ll be stuck for even longer in a tank or basketball hell is weird to me. A firesale is gonna net the Bulls maybe a few protected 1sts and some 2nds, maybe a young player with promise.

DDR isn’t going to net much. LaVine is going to have the same trade value now as the summer. Caruso will have similar trade value in the summer as he does at the deadline. Trades NOW as opposed to the summer isn’t going to net something more that would quicken a rebuild vs. playing out the season.
