A big big reason is that it’s easier to gel and settle a bunch of young players in a less competitive league.

The Premier League on another level. Real Madrid would face pretty hard matches on a weekly basis. You don’t get too many rubbish teams in the PL, while in Spain they are everywhere. Same in Germany and any other European League.

I always thought it’s because they’re the Newcastle of the south.

Personally I’ve never had a big issue with either. They are both like a real life FM save. And it’s so much fun to keep an eye on.
