I heard Hoge & Jahns talking about this and I actually think you’re right. While it’s great the Panthers are winless, they have nothing to tank for. While tanking is against the rules, personnel managers on teams definitely play a role in tweaking things so their team has a better chance to lose if that’s desired… the Panthers will not have that. They’re rebuilding and every week will be treated as a tryout to see who wants to keep playing. They stand nothing to gain from losing so they’ll be trying to win every game they can. Teams like the Vikings, Pats, Broncos, Cardinals, Giants on the other hand… they’ll all be contending for a top pick and I could see them letting off the gas late in the season
