  • Macs are like uncannily good at real-time audio processing, also audio and MIDI routing in general has less friction. Less tinkering in general when connecting external synths

Like with anything you can find tons of people online who have no issues with their windows based production setup, YMMV. But macs are ubiquitous in the music space, from my experience I think it’s deserved

  • Understanding nutritional value better and counting calories (for a while).

Amazing comment, but I just want to throw some support behind this concept in particular.

The goal of calorie counting doesn’t necessarily need to be to commit yourself to it for life. It’s okay if you do! But many people will “catch” issues they had within a few months, and generally be able to navigate things successfully from there just by eyeballing it in.

Another way I like to think of it is meal-by-meal. Instead of logging the full day, it’s easier to just quickly check the labels and make sure that meal is within your normal range

  • You can get pretty close on any guitar by mounting a bigsby to it

But what (I think) you’re asking for essentially is a guitar where the actual vibrating length of the string is equal to the overall length of the instrument. This is not often done, as it limits your options significantly in terms of what standard components you can use (such as if you want to switch to a higher mass bridge).

But they exist! Look up the strandberg boden line of guitars. Headless + bottom tuning, although there is still a bit of material on either side
