I guess this means that the rumors of signing Mata were incorrect since this re-sign means three coaches for T1 unless they are signing Mata for a different role, which I don’t see happening.

Apparently, both Roach and Sky are leaving to complete their military duty. I wish the best for them over there. I hope they come back when they finish it.

I’m actually not that surprised by T1 taking in Western talent, not only because America’s Comcast partially owns T1 but because their CEO Joe Marsh, in some interviews, has expressed his feelings about Western teams, especially NA ones, generally not living up to the standards set by East Asian teams. Also, I think it was a year or two ago when T1 partnered with LJL org Fukuoka Softbank Hawks Gaming to have their Academy players train at T1 HQ and use T1’s facilities. So, it’s clear that T1 is open to helping other regions out.
