This implies that U.S. stopping weapons deliveries would leave them without weapons and ammunation which is not the case. It would make things a lot harder for Ukraine and make them lose more soldiers and land but it wouldn’t stop the war. They’d rather die than submit to Russia. Also, U.S. is not their only weapons supplier.

I don’t see what this has to do with what I’ve said. I haven’t claimed otherwise. I don’t even like the guy and I wouldn’t have voted for him if I lived in the U.S.

Nope, I’m just a dispassionate observer who doesn’t think in binary. Trump is not all bad no more than Kamala is all good. Things are nuanced and complicated.

Also no, I don’t think people either lie 100% of the time or not at all, but I also don’t think you get to arbitrarily choose which is a lie and what is not based on which better fits your agenda.

“Make America Great Again” is his motto, and the actions he took during his first term mostly aligned with it, even if the outcomes didn’t always turn out as intended. If you don’t believe he means what he says, then I don’t think he should be criticized for the rest of what he says either - since he wouldn’t mean that, either.

He says he wants to end the war. Ending support doesn’t do that and I don’t see how Russia winning would be beneficial to the US.

I don’t think it’s going anywhere. They may hit a wall with GenAI and it’ll calm down for a while but the possible upsides of AGI are way too vast for people to suddenly just stop caring about.

Also, I’d say that 90% of ‘AI bullshit’ is people hate-posting about it on social media. Like the thread we’re in right now.

I don’t have TikTok myself but having seen my friends show videos from their screen I think it’s absolutely hideous how half of the video is covered with comments and buttons and shit. That would be a total dealbreaker for me.

You seem to be implying that is the reason I find myself disliking him less now than in 2016 which couldn’t be further from the truth. That’s among the most pressing arguments against him.

That’s equally unfair as me saying ‘I don’t see how Harris supporting gender-affirming surgeries for undocumented immigrants in custody’ makes people want to vote for her.

I find myself disliking him less this time around than I did in 2016, and I don’t exactly know why. Sure, there’s a ton I disagree with him on, but that applies to both candidates. I guess I have some sympathy for the people in the center who were pushed away by the left and ended up on the right.

I’m probably among the last people here to shit on Musk, but having watched that video of it I did get the same impression. The way it was speaking sounded more like a human imitating LLM than an actual LLM.

Left my previous job a little more than 6 months ago and became self-employed. I’m doing basically the exact same thing as I did before but it has stopped feeling like work. Sure, some days I might work till the evening but on other days I might only have a few hour job and then I get to go back home. I’m currently enjoying my 3 day weeked because I simply didn’t take any jobs for friday but instead pushed them all to next week. It’s pretty nice I must say. If it’s something you’ve considered I strongly recommend giving it a shot.

Nobody get credited for staying lean all their life. Quite the opposite. I’ve heard all my youth about how I’m so skinny and should eat more.
