I definitely want gpu support. Although I struggle with that somewhat on Koboldcpp as well where I can’t use ROCm, only Vulkan. Unsure where the difference is performance wise.

I’d like to try the other UIs too, but the problem is that Automatic1111 is where the majority of additional plugins can be found.

Tried to install Automatic1111 for Stable Diffusion in an Arch distrobox, and despite editing the .sh file to point to the older tarballed Python version as advised on Github, it still tells me it uses the most up to date one that’s installed system wide and thus can’t install pytorch. And that’s pretty much where my personal knowledge ends, and apparently that of those (i.e. that one person) on Github. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

People like to put things into a box, to classify them, make them tangible, to understand at a glance. Thinking of sexuality and identity as a spectrum isn’t too complicated. Instead of male or female, you have maybe something ranging from masculine to feminine, and everything in between. But where it gets confusing is how you’d describe either being somewhere on that spectrum, or to what exactly your sexual preferences range. A classical bi person would be right dead center in the middle, or maybe sway a little to one side over the other, but would you still call it bi? Maybe pan? Someone formerly hetero or gay would also be easy, being at the far end of the spectrum. But what about people who are a little more flexible in their attraction? “Girls” with dicks? “Guys” with vags? Maybe they don’t even strictly identify as either one. Whether one’s more hetero or gay leaning, you’d be likely somewhere halfway towards the middle of your sexual attraction spectrum, just like the people identifying & looking accordingly, but how would you describe that yourself, and others - without being disrespectful for their own identify? Maybe you’re gynosexual for the feminine side? Androsexual for the male one? How many people would understand those terms though? “I like girls, including those with a little extra” - “I’m into femininity”? Terminologies are constantly changing rapidly on top of all that too, and for many things there aren’t really much established terms either. This further makes it harder for people to move away from the old binary classifications, even if generally supportive in principle. But those who aren’t, will obviously just see a very confusing mess of things they don’t understand.

Yeah, it’s more a thing with the other companies and their games. His point still stands though, not just for fighting games and their characters. Games now often come with barebones / stripped progression and the stuff is then sold as overpriced DLC that immediately unlocks the content instead.

Yeah. I gave up adding anything from them to my wishlist because they never drop in price to become actually affordable. They always stay expensive, even when the next game of the franchise is out.

If people want to contribute to video games voluntarily, they should commit to proper open source projects instead of some Russian scammers.

What do you think “layering” refers to? And there’s only this, or Flathub, to actually install something in the main immutable system. So I’m not sure what else you were expecting.

The fuck? It absolutely is not false. When I tried to install the rpm package it errored out. Another user here reported to me that he did not error out, but it ended up bricking his system. Why in the fuck do you think you can just invalidate other people’s experiences like that?!

I have no fucking idea how you could possibly brick hardware by trying to install an application… I never got anywhere close to doing anything that could have possibly had consequences like that.

That is super cool for you, but you should maybe be less close minded and accept that other people have other experiences as you. You should not base your opinion on things that only affect you personally.

You’re literally replying to my comment stating how I tried that and how it bricked someone’s system.

I can import the config files through the network manager, but that’s clunky and only allows for one connection. So if one server slows down or its IP is blocked on a specific site, I cannot easily hop servers without the actual app.

Trying to install the rpm manually by layering it just errors out for me. Someone else on here said that for him it bricked his entire system, so I’m not exactly fond of attempting to brute force it - especially with 4 year old instructions for another distro.
