  • The reason for me to play Breath of the Wild was my nostalgia for Ocarina of Time. It’s just impossible to explain to people what wondrous fantasy it was when it came out in the 90’s. An open-world game, 3D, on console, with a joystick, with glorious music? I know you zoomers can read and understand those words, but you genuinely can’t understand the feeling.

The world didn’t have the internet, or games, really. TV had like a few channels. You wouldn’t be able to ever choose what you wanted to watch unless you had a video, and those weren’t too plentiful. If you ever liked a TV-show, then the timeslot of that TV-show made you go watch it at a certain time, or at the least go through telling your mom how to program the VCR for it and hope it gets recorded. Games were mostly just 2D.

And then you load into OOT menu on N64 a year later, and start the story with the FPV camera flying around. It was amazing.

  • Yeah, possible. But one would imagine that if you stay in the same house as your parents, there’d need to be something really pressing to make her keep quiet and for the parents not to notice at all.

I know that shit like that happens in the world, sure, but it’s not the most probably scenario.

It’s just another crazy person online. Why are we even discussing his wank fantasies?

I mean, what’s the alternative? That this is real? That some girl somewhere, had their brother come into their room with a 23andMe printout and then the sister went, “oh, if we don’t share DNA, then suddenly I’m sexually attracted to you, the person I grew up with”?

Anyone who believes in that should perhaps go touch some grass, and I’m using that phrase despite immensely disliking it.

Just informing any of these incest-fetishists; as humans, we really don’t have mechanisms to sense DNA, but we do have some built-in biopsychosociological(?) mechanisms for avoiding incest. One of them is when you grow up with someone in your family as if they were your sibling, you think of them as your sibling, and naturally don’t want to fuck them, shared DNA or not.

Ofc not everything applies to everyone, but you know, in general.

  • I get your point but also I’m a pedantic Lemming, so I want to point out that in the middle-ages, castle would purposefully build uneven steps. People familiar with the castle would soon get used to them and they’d be no bother, but an attacker running upwards will surely trip. And they’ll trip because of the stairs. Or will it be their own fault for not looking at each individual step to give your body the information it needs?

Just rhetorical exercise, I don’t actually care at all about one side or the other.

(An added stair fact, round staircases would ascend in a clockwise manner, so that right-handed defenders would have the advantage over right-handed attackers whilst fighting in the stairs.)
