Fully agree with this. Would also add that hunting the monsters usually required to undertsand some specific mecanics or meet special events for the monster to turn up. FFXVI is too straightforward with their hunt board

depends on what you mean by politics. But if you are looking at inter-nation politics, civ is always a nice intro to it
