Can’t believe I didn’t find those, guess I should have searched for platinum. Guess I’m off installing xfce.

Do you experience the same issues on your phone?

If you are using windows it might also be an idea to check if your PC and the router have the same DNS set. If not, change the windows settings to automatic or set the same DNS between both devices.

Also check if it’s not just the whole PC lagging, CPU usage spiking? Disk read maxed out? Full RAM? Stuff like that.

Edit: also note that 5G and 5Ghz wifi are vastly different technologies not really related to each other.
