Despite the soft schedule, this is going to be tough if Ant and Jaden are both out. I expect we start SloMo and rotate Naz, TBJ, and Shake. Shake will have to play meaningful minutes and he has looked awful so far. Maybe he’ll surprise us? Between him, Conley, Naz, or TBJ, someone is going to need to pick up the ability to create some offense. We’re def going to stagnate at times, and every game but Memphis is losable if we can’t find a steady source of offense besides KAT.
I agree. While I get the “if he was ready, he’d play” sentiments, that isn’t Finch’s track record. He hates playing rookies as a rule. I’d really love to see Miller get even 5-6 minutes in the second quarter to see how he responds. Until Jaden gets back, we’re really going to struggle against certain teams.
Every time we put him in, my heart sinks. I’d rather see any of our young kids get some minutes—Moore, Minott, or Miller with Kyle being the major ball handler. This is the trade we need to make this season. Not KAT or whatever, but just some kind of halfway decent bench guard.
We really missed Jaden tonight. It’s most evident against an elite guard like Fox. They were in flow all night. Needed Jaden to disrupt that.
He really sucks right now. They lost for other reasons, but he’s the most frustrating Wolf to watch right now.
Our bench is a mess. NAW and SloMo can’t play together.
This was always going to be as tough a game as you’ll find on the schedule. We’ll bounce back. My biggest worry right now is that our bench seems to lack an identity and any kind of scoring besides Naz. They looked like that through the win streak too. I hope we can figure it out because we need that depth.
They could maybe figure something out, but we’re a little stuck because we don’t have much to trade. If we make a move, it seems very likely to need to include KAT. For that big of a price, I want Quickley and picks (plus salary filler). The Magic do have some picks, so I’d consider some kind of Suggs plus picks package. But it’d need to be more than the Knicks would offer since I think Quickley is better, and I honestly don’t see why the Magic would do this deal. KAT doesn’t fill an area of need for them. Maybe a three team deal?
At basketball?
Wow. I thought they were defending this an inconclusive because the top of the close up camera shot goes out of frame, but they are talking about lower body. That makes it even worse in my mind. I could kind of get behind the “well, the best camera angle didn’t fully capture it so we can’t reverse it”. But if they’re saying, “yes, this conclusively shows a foul,” I don’t even know.
