There is a hidden 4th.
I’m from space!
There is a hidden 4th.
Behold, the Trihole
Is that a delivery service’s marked up price? Their site has them for much less.
I imagine that’s some of the logic behind selecting this target. They want the Russians to feel the insecurity that Ukrainians have felt.
There is Portlandia weird, and then there’s “I want the government to track your menstrual cycles” weird.
Go to jail if you speak out against the president, BUT, there is a nice chandelier in a subway station.
The Navalny memorial at the Wall of Grief is makeshift.
People are paying tribute to him there because the wall is a monument to Stalin era political persecution and Putin is basically doing the same shit.
After looking at this study,

It’s basically saying that some incredibly rare conditions become slightly more common, but still incredibly rare.
And although not in the abstract, it’s worth noting that many of these are conditions that have links or potential links to COVID 19 infections.
Avoiding a COVID vaccine for the risks is like choosing to drive cross country instead of fly. Sure, you won’t get in a plane crash, but your risk went way up.

I haven’t gone through it yet.
Time to go back to school.
I’m old school. I blame the rich, corporations, and religion.
This isn’t actually true. In the US, housing has outpaced the value of gold.
In 2023, you would need 254.7 ounces of gold to buy a house, since $495,100 avg home / $1,943 price of gold = 254.7
In 1920, you would need 164.1 ounces of gold to buy a house, since $3,395 avg home / $20.67 price of gold = 164.1.
Pardon me, but I believe you mean that bot AND AD invested shitposting dump.
Easier said than done in a lot of American cities and burbs. I’ve tried to go without a car, and it just hasn’t been practical.
I’m on the edge of a denser American metro that actually has a subway, and when I ditched the car for some of my jobs, I added several hours of commute to my day, and it honestly started to wear on me physically.
When I have the money I’ll probably jump over to an EV. It seems like the most reasonable solution for where I live and work.
I once told Lemmy users that I liked MacOS. I still haven’t recovered from the beating.
And not always the chill “I live on a commune and make shirts out of hemp” communists. We’re talking about the “let’s have an armed revolution” communists.
I used to work next to this guy. If a box came in, I would just cut the packing tape open with a house key from my pocket… unless he saw me looking like I was about to open the box.
Then I needed to wait for him to walk over with his damn leatherman and flip it to just the right thing. Whole ordeal usually added time to the stupid box opening.
Gen X: “Forgotten again. Whatever.”
I feel like that’s kind of the case for a lot of things here. God forbid you find anything remotely positive about the wrong brand of phone, operating system or web browser. You’re unwelcome.
