The use of flash is indeed important but map awareness and skill can make flash just like any other movement ability. The uses for flash outweigh the reason for not taking it. Need to get away? Flash. Need to reposition an ability? Flash. Need to get that last auto in to ensure their death so you can crash waves? Flash.

There are just so many uses for flash aggressively and creatively that not taking it or only using it defensively just leaves you without kills and skill gaps.
