gardening or maybe hiking, adventuring off until i died

i don’t really remember if i have read any of those but i did just pick the book out of the shelf at my school because i know shakespeare is a big name and just really didn’t know much to do from then but i have very minimally started it and knew i should get a bigger understanding before just reading it

i am by no means well versed or experienced in plays or theatrics but is it okay to just read the plays or should i consume both the performances and the writings? are the performances any better or worse than the writings?
