Yep, myself and a ton of others are having the same problems with the OLED d-pad.
I took the d-pad and d-pad membrane from my LCD deck and put it into my OLED deck and everything is perfect now. Ordered a new set from iFixit so that my LCD deck doesn’t get stuck with a crappy d-pad.
The OLED deck d-pad sucks unfortunately.
I vastly prefer the OLED thunbsticks over my LCD ones
From the date you receive it
I just took the membrane and d-pad from my LCD Deck and put it in my OLED deck and now everything is perfect.
I tested the OLED d-pad and membrane in my LCD Deck and it brought all the same problems.
Visually the d-pad and membrane between the LCD and OLED deck look very similar but clearly something is wrong with the new ones.
I ordered an extra set of LCD deck d-pads and membranes from ifixit so that my old LCD deck doesn’t get stuck with a crappy d-pad.
“A, B, Y, X buttons dancing or making maraca or rattling sound: Sometimes, even without shaking the deck, just having a finger on them causes them to dance a lot or make a maraca or vibration sound. This defect has been reported in some OLEDs and did not exist in the LCD deck. If you have this problem, I recommend RMA if it bothers you. Currently, I do not know if it is a design decision and exists in all units or is a real defect. We need reports from users in greater quantity.”
My 2022 512 LCD, 2023 256 LCD and new 512 OLED has this.
It definitely does exist on the LCD deck and from my experience it is the norm, not a fault.
What d-pad issues have you had?
My main issue is that it’s floating d-pad that can be moved around loads and im getting missed inputs.
My LCD SD d-pad is absolutely fine, I’ve got no complaints. But I’m really not onboard with the new OLED decks d-pad.
So it’s totally fixed in place? You can slide it around at all?
I just completely disassembled the deck and it’s not fixed in place at all, it’s just a floating d-pad.
512 OLED - Samsung
Thoroughly checked for dead pixels using the pixel test website. No dead pixels.
I ordered 512 OLED at 6.19pm and it got delivered today
Ew no.
Just debloat an official windows install yourself so you’re not putting your devices/network at risk
I ordered 6.19pm in UK and not yet picked up either. I bet we’ll have it by the end of the day though.
…did you actually watermark your shitpost meme
Valve will keep it as an upsell perk for the 1tb model.
Just buy a 3rd party slim case.
If it said 3-5 days estimated when you ordered, that’s your estimate. The new estimate on the site is because new orders are now going into later batches. There’s only so many orders their distributor can process per day.
Alot of people (myself included) are reporting exactly the same thing - it’s faulty left trackpad haptics.
Some people have fixed it by removing the trackpad and remounting it with less pressure but that hasn’t worked for some people.
I’ve just returned my deck with faulty left trackpad haptics and ordered a new one
