I was thinking of the Porta Pros in making this post. I was thinking of other defining designs like the Fender Stratocaster, Shure SM58 microphone, Volkswagen Beetle etc and wanted to know what the headphone equivalents would be. I’m too young to have been around during the Porta Pro’s heyday but I imagine they were similarly popular to AirPods today. I want a pair!

Whoops, maybe there is something more universally understood I could compare to. I also posted it late so I bet mostly non-Americans are seeing it 🤦🏻♂️
I really need to try the Sennheisers out locally. My main pair and point of reference is Hifiman Edition XS which aren’t really comparable (planar).
