I get what you mean. I’ve had Linn Kans and Klipsch towers previously. I did enjoy the Kef’s but the Neat Iota Alpha’s I also have really were much fuller. I got the Q’s by chance at a really good price and am happy I did. What do you have?

I don’t have a turntable. I put a hunk of marble on top of the same Ikea storage cube and put my sub inside it. works well.
Thanks. Happy cake day. I’ll update once I’ve got them hooked up to the Lejonklou Tundra power amp
Now I feel like listening to Postmodern Jukebox on them 😂
Thanks. I have a Lejonklou Tundra power amp coming soon. Excited to hear them driven by that
The Kef’s were more neutral and the Wharfedale sub I have may not have been the ideal match. The Q’s were a steal at 50% off the RRP so had to get them really. I do like the sound and have a power amp coming. Let’s see what they can do.
Got the Q Acoustic Concept 50’s second hand for 50% off RRP. The previous owner replaced them with wireless Kef LS 50’s as he felt the Q’s were too much for his room. I’m obviously very happy, but would you have done the same?
My next issue is whether my Minx Min 12’s are too weedy to be used as surrounds with the Q’s? They sound good so far, but I haven’t strayed down that rabbit hole as yet.
Is the reason because they had to mix for AM use? I read a long time ago that the studio monitors had tape put over the tweeters to emulate sound from a tranny radio.
Steely Dan?
