I’ll be honest, I have trouble with low graphic games. But mediumish is fine. I still enjoy plonking monsters on Diablo 2. But I also enjoy Satisfactory and Snow Runner. I can’t conceive of a good reason graphics need to go further. Hell, Balder’s Gate 3 was beautiful and these guys want us to buy more graphics capacity? Why? It’s ridiculous.
At this point I just want to have quality games. The graphics are beyond good enough. I don’t need to custom render a photo realistic action movie from my PC.
If the jury can’t make one time exceptions to the law then there’s no reason to have a jury. The entire point of a jury is to prevent the government from oppressing the people via the court room.
My favorite was when he accused the entire world of giving people to Harris so she could place them into the US as harmfully as possible.

I agree it’s hard to leave any ecosystem. But while Apple maintains you don’t need any cross connection; Android, Microsoft, and (to an extent) Linux all play nice with each other.
Oh. In that sense yeah. But most of us are also trapped on earth under that logic. I do think we need some more competition in the operating system market but I’m not sure who could pull it off. Even Microsoft bounced off of it. There is Graphene but it’s a tiny sliver of the market.
How are we trapped in Google? It’s a burden to move if I wanted to, but I can interface with everyone except apple just fine.
For me it was the pure ridiculousness of trying to pass documents back and forth with one person in the group using a Mac. Maybe Apple is better about universal document file types these days but that was it for me. I was never going to contribute to an ecosystem that created that level of disruption.

To be fair every school I ever went to in the US said they were teaching critical thinking skills but never directly tackled it. And I think that’s a big problem. We need to teach people a specific set of skills.

In the US religion is absolutely being used to spearhead social conservatism and anti-government ideas. Evangelists are backing candidates who say stuff like “only while male Christians should be able to vote”. And the judge appointed to the Supreme Court that shifted it to the far right has heavy ties to that same section of Christianity.
Let’s not forget too that the entire reason we have this conflict is extremist Jews believe God gave them the entirety of Palestine and Syria.
Yeah I don’t think we’ve figured out a good way past the charismatic sociopath problem. The best thing we’re going to have in the short term is a democracy with a strong emphasis on socialism.
