You can get a MacBook Pro with M1 Pro for thos $1450, and it’s a better and faster chip than M2. (And the MacBook Pro base is with 16Gb and 512SSD)

I got that, and i think that the base M1 with 16Gb and 512 SSD is enough for 80% of the users (Not for Developers, Designers, etc, in that case M1 pro is the best option)
