  • Don’t discount the 40M they spent on Daniel Jones and the $100M+ they guaranteed him for what can only amount to as a nice smile and clean haircut.

Yeah $25M went to the Barkley and Williams… one which is the entire offense since the pass game from Jones that actual Quarterback has been non existent for years… Also they at least got a 2nd round pick for Leonard Williams…$25M sounds like a bargain in comparison to DJ contract.

As much as ya’ll try to avoid talking about Daniel Jones, he’s a bigger problem than anything… his contract just makes into the joke it is.

  • It’s a shame to lose the voice of Carl on the show especially for when the team has more rough outings. I didn’t hear his (Banks) response about it post convo between them but he said a good bit in his original tweet.

Hanging up on him was wrong knowing who he is to the franchise itself. The franchise currently is kinda ridiculous sometimes man so even talking about the clownery is grating to some… As far KT, he stepped up last game and got some games left to show even more…defense here right now, defense please don’t leave lol.

    Don’t be terrible SZN… that’s it.

  • Josh Jacobs is another one of the league’s best running backs who was seeking a big contract in the offseason. The Raiders initially placed their franchise tag on him before signing him to a one-year deal.

Because Jacobs wasn’t worthy of a long-term contract, and might be near the end of his rope in his sixth year in the league, the Raiders have spent this rebuilding season spreading the wealth to other backs on rookie contracts so they can see what they have for next year . . .

    Well, not actually.

Jacobs is third in the league in touches with 161, which is more than 20 per game. He has 74 percent of the team’s carries. Taking out carries by quarterbacks Jimmy Garappolo, Brian Hoyer and Aiden O’Connell, which were surely almost entirely scrambles on passing plays that ended with them either sliding or trotting out of bounds, Jacobs has 86 percent of the remaining carries. Not to mention, he’s third on the team in receptions. This is all while there are three other running backs on the roster.

Barkley name in the title but it is not just one prime RB in the league under these same circumstances.

  • Barkley, quarterback Daniel Jones, wide receiver Darius Slayton, defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence are the only Giants who played in the 2019 game and are still on the roster. Linebacker Oshane Ximines is on the practice squad. Jones threw for 308 yards and four touchdowns, including two to fellow rookie Slayton, who had game-high totals of 10 receptions for 131 yards.

Williams had three tackles and four quarterback hits just 12 days after he was traded to the Giants from the Jets for a pair of draft choices. Tomorrow is the four-year anniversary of the deal and marks approximately the first halfway point of his nine-year career. Williams has played 71 games for the Jets and 62 for the Giants (including two postseason games).

“I’ll forever be grateful to the Jets for giving me my first opportunity in the NFL by drafting me there,” Williams said. “But I’ve been with the Giants so long now that the Jets almost feel pretty distant to me at this point. Like when I see the Jets on the schedule, it’s not like something I’m like, ‘Woah, I used to play there’ you know? I kind of just see them as another opponent on the schedule at this point. But around this time when we finally have them up this week is when I started to get messages from old teammates and stuff like that, that bring it up. But I forget about it until those moments. But you know it’s always exciting to play in this game.”

Leo is more Giant than Jet now… or close enough at least.

  • More than bragging rights

The Jets need to win this one. The Giants need to win this one. The Snoopy Bowl has some stakes.

Rosenblatt: All the goodwill the Jets gained from beating the Eagles would evaporate if they lose to a Giants team that, on paper, they are more talented than in most areas, especially on defense. The upcoming schedule doesn’t look difficult, but if the Jets aren’t beating teams like the Giants, it’s hard to count any of their upcoming games as easy wins. Last year, the Jets fell apart after the bye. A win this week would be a good sign they’re past that.

Carroll: After finally snapping the losing streak and putting some offensive production together, the Giants need to win this game to maintain some momentum, particularly ahead of the trade deadline. They’ve reached a portion of their schedule where they could put together a little run and get back into the NFC wild-card mix.

Think the only thing I didn’t really agree with was the look at the teams offensively. I think we eek out ahead of the Jets there at least at the skill positions.
