I saw this post while browsing through watches on instagram and thought I should share. It features a scene from the Last of Us TV show but I don’t believe it falls into spoiler territory. The watches featured are the Seiko Solar Speedtimer SSC817 and the Swatch x Fifty Fathoms diver.

Assuming you want an automatic, the Seiko SARX055 remains my favorite under 1K. It’s the “Baby GS Snowflake” which is titanium, has a frosty dial, and is finished very well. If titanium isn’t your thing, you can also see the steel, inky black-dialed SARX035. I’ve owned both and can attest to their quality.
