Yeah, I don’t think any of these come close to that one (some of these I had never even heard of).

I suspect Presti may have picked Mobley #1 in that draft (he tried very hard to trade up for him) so us getting Cade was probably never going to happen even with draft luck.

Cade looks a lot like he did in college, and not far off from what I expected his rookie year. He just hasn’t improved like I think everyone expected. Part of it is the roster around him, but he’s also just not shooting well or finishing strong against contact. I still think he can be a fringe all-star with a couple of good shooters to unlock his playmaking.

I’m also quite happy with how everything turned out. Chet has been a revelation, and I don’t rue missing out on Mobley anymore. At all.

Yeah, just Murray off ball action drawing the defense away from the other shooters is huge. So good to see him back.

I’ve been wondering why I haven’t seen that one yet. It was incredible. Wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA drug tested him after the game.

The Nuggets would not be good. The Thunder would be solid tho. Especially with how much weaker all the other teams are.

Anyone who is low usage, and either an elite shooter with good defense, or elite defender with good shooting. Also helps if they are on a good contract. It’s the high usage and/or poor shooting/defenders that have to have teams or lineups specifically built around them to maximize their effectiveness.

Chet has very quickly become the 2nd most important player on this team; and as good as Giddey and JDub are, I think he also becomes the 2nd best player sometime in 2024.

Honestly, it’s probably somewhat true. College defenses will just form a wall against getting into the paint, and double team him all the way down the court. He’ll make the right pass to completely open teammates who will just fumble the ball or miss a wide open shot. It happened to Trae in the 2nd half of his NCAA season, and had people questioning if he was an NBA player.

The double move on Wiggins is my favorite.

The Thunder are really deep. They can pretty much take any 2 of JDub, Giddey, Shai, Chet, and pair them with any 3 bench players and have a solid lineup. Though I think the Giddey-Shai pairing is less effective overall (and may be holding back the effectiveness of the starting lineup), Giddey is absolutely crucial in the non-Shai minutes.

The entire OKC bench is definitely one for other teams to be jealous of. They can alternate leaving a couple of starters in and rotate bench players with seemingly no drop off from all starters.
