  • I believed they maybe weren’t listening because those cases that people claim as “proof” of listening can usually be explained in other ways as well. People tend to assume they were listening because its the easier explanation but with the amount of data that Meta has, they can easily lead people into thinking about things by showing specific posts on the Facebook timeline and also predict to some extent what people may end up talking about based on things like how many times you replay a certain video and how long did you keep certain posts in focus on the screen and that sort of stuff that people often don’t realize is also data for them.

Still, I would never put my hand on fire for them and never completely discarded the possibility of them listening.

  • Over the past decades I’ve had several different women (girlfriends, mother-in-laws, coworkers) complain that I “acted too softly” in some situation or another, saying I should have raised my voice or made threats or stuff like that. If I could go back in time I wouldn’t act differently in any of those situations.

In your case I would probably complain to someone about security not showing up though. In a hospital setting it is their responsibility.

A lot of times he couldn’t figure things out by himself. They made a big point of his team being there to complete him, not just to do what he told them to.

In the season where they were looking for a new team member there was one candidate that was pretty much a 1:1 copy of House, who got the best evaluations in the tests and stuff, but in the end got disqualified for “what use is there in someone who’ll think of the same stuff as me?”

  • Did people pay for the game before or after the developer removed any references to it being an MMO?

If they made something that is not an MMO it’s only natural that they won’t want it to be presented as if it was one, even if they originally intended to create the game as an MMO.

I don’t think the game deserves to be cruficied just for failing to reach the goals the devs had in mind, as long as it is not being sold as if it had. Folks can buy the game, realize it’s not what they hoped for, refund and move on. Or better yet, hopefully they can realize it’s not the game they were expecting based on the store page and not even buy it in the first place.

Now if the dev is misleading people about what the game is, or if people paid for one thing long ago and received another in the end, then nevermind me and carry on.
