Dude, you do realize that a QB controversy could come from both of them balling out, right?
Better not have used a Monkey’s paw to make that wish
Currently, our worst offensive starter is probably Josh Reynolds. He’s probably not a plus player, but he’s no worse than NFL average.
I consider DPJ and Jamo as backups atm. Both are also NFL average, though we all hope they become plus players soon.
Well done writeup, I enjoyed the read.
Regarding rookies, LaPorta and Branch have, of course been incredible. Sorsdal looks like he might be a steal. We all know about Gibbs and it’s been great to see that the game is finally slowing down for him.
Campbell has been pretty amazing – for a rookie – as well. Rookies usually don’t come in and play Mike well. It’s just such a difficult position because of the complexity of the decisions and variety of plays you need to make. He needs to rush the passer, stuff the big runs, chase down speed guys, deflect passes, etc. It’s actually kind of exciting to think about what he’s going to be doing in the future as he starts to anticipate plays even better.
Obviously, he’s not going to maintain this for very long, but it’s remarkable for any 3-game stretch.
He, Duren & Cade are probably the only players who are a positive on both ends of the floor.
There are still people who think we should trade him. This team looks like a legitimate contender for play-in rn and has a very strong positive vibe and Burks is a HUGE part of that. Trade him and let’s watch to see how long before Cade says I’m out of here.
Are those the most 1950s sounding football names or what?
