  • The trick is to do it like the Bucks did. Herb Kohl found multiple owners all of which had the cash and desire to build a winning product. They found Horst to run the team to get Giannis to as many championships as possible and it’s paying dividends.

Meanwhile, the narrative before this season is that it was important to draft Jordan Love and move onto him because Green Bay is a small market and needs to be competitive every year. Now everyone in the sub is saying that we were always planning to tank.

I think the truth is that Green Bay natives and northern rural Wisconsin folk are desperately dependent on the Packers staying in Green Bay so they’ll lick any boot they have to in order to maintain the status quo. If the team does bad - you’re a bad fan for not supporting them anyway. If the team does good - it’s because the FO and organization is perfect and constantly produces winning results.

  • Wow the reading comprehension on this sub is incredible:

    1. “Be more like the Raiders”. Never said anything remotely like this. I said Davante wasn’t wrong to choose the Raiders rebuild over the Packers rebuild.

    2. Ray Rhodes is another example of how the Packers organization fails to produce results.

    3. “No one in Wisconsin can afford the Packers”. Same was true for the Bucks. But Herb Kohl did it right and guaranteed the Bucks would stay by choosing Edens. Lasry wasn’t as great but he at least had the dignity to sell his shares and leave quietly. The Bucks are a perfect example of doing a franchise right. Horst is 10x the GM that Gutekunst will ever be.

    4. No one wants McDaniels. Way to read buddy.

    5. Imagine calling someone a bootlicker while supporting the Packers which is literally a good ol’ boys club with zero accountability. Owners are not accountable, which is a shame, but everyone underneath them is accountable. The Packers org have essentially socialized accountability so no one can ever get fired.

    6. Random insults that would get you banned if you were talking to a mod.

Way to go guys! You make Vikings and Bears fans look logical and reasonable.

  • Packer homers when players are requesting trades (Davante), criticizing the FO (Rodgers), or clearly checking out (Jaire):

“Wow this guy was never that good, we should get rid of him.”

Maybe it’s the FO and coaching staff that are pissing off our best players and the players who can’t afford to say anything are just staying silent and collecting their paycheck?

I think this might be the only sports subreddit where the fanbase regularly takes the side of corporate stooges over their own players.
