Even Giannis and LeBron need spacing. The fact that our spacing is so bad clearly affects both Siakam and Barnes.
We have 3 players in Barnes, Siakam and Yak that excel operating out of/near the post. It’s just not going to work out long term unless you have a Steph/Klay level spacing out of your backcourt.
Yeah, growth from unplayable to garbage time player isn’t going to cut it unfortunately.
I really don’t think we should bring Malachi back unless he shows far more than we have seen from him this season.
We clearly can’t just ride with these guys until they are magically 5-6th seed. This team has been a 0.500 team for 3 seasons now, and we aren’t going to the next level until we add a major piece to the team either at the cost of a core piece or emptying out our assets for foreseeable future.
And if we empty out our assets, what is going to be left to make any trade to become contenders?
Pascal and Scottie have a lot of overlap positionally and clearly long term we can’t spend 50% of our cap on just these two.

This isn’t the team last year because statistically we are even worse offensively and in the half court
This same user was adamant the entire last year that we are better than our record. Also the same user that thinks this team is special because we went to first round and got crushed by Sixers 3 seasons ago.
There is plenty of sample size for most people to know where this team stands. We are one of the worst half court teams in the league. That by itself limits us to a near 0.500 record. We also can’t close games, so it’s unlikely for us to get out of play-in even if we make it there.
A guard heavy lineup doesn’t really suit our roster.
Jalen McDaniels was never as good of a shooter as this sub claimed to be. Just because he shot 40% on 21 attempts, it doesn’t mean he is a 3PT shooting specialist.
He is still at best a 3rd string guard.
Gradey has the movement of an NBA player, but the ball doesn’t go in. It’s almost like he plays too fast.

Wiggins has been ass this year, but over the past 2 years, he has been great for them.
They would probably much rather revive Wiggins again than spend all those other assets to get a worse fit in Pascal.

He is averaging 6/2/2 and is one of the worst players on the team by all metrics.
How many teams have worse backup guards than Malachi? Most teams have 3rd string guards that are as good, if not better than him.
It’s not an exaggeration to say we have one of the worst guard rotations in the league.
