Needs to go even lower.
We need more innovation, supply chain optimization, more mass manufacturing scale, and more of the battery chemistries with cheaper raw materials.

Gasoline won’t ever get cheap. If demand drops, they’ll produce less instead of dropping the price. Because no matter what, it costs money to extract, ship crude, refine crude, ship gasoline, and sell gasoline.
Not really. There’s some small V2L things. The Cybertruck will have some capability. The Chademo port has bidirectional capability but it was not supported much and it’s dead outside of Japan now.
It will grow but not as much as some folks think because the equipment and installation to connect to a home will be expensive.
Wow! That’s a lower price than I thought they would ask!
This might sell better than I initially thought.
The similar Mazda MX-30 is available for sale here. It sold 571 in the last 2 years.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lol.
At least they were smart enough to not even try selling that overpriced toy in the USA.
They will be fine for lower spec vehicles. Folks used lead-acid for golf carts and eBikes for a long time. Na-ion will be MUCH better than that.
And it is extremely annoying. Installing an L2 charger is apprentice level electrician work. There’s sometimes difficulty but it is generally not that hard and just an issue of people being too cheap or lazy to do it.
The sluggish software was definitely something that turned a lot of people off.
With the better motors, the faster computer hardware, and the additional range; VW has fixed a lot of the issues with this car.
Get the new version to the USA and discount the old models to sell them off.
Sadly not available in the USA yet.
Sodium ion batteries may be a big game changer. Not the best batteries but they are cheaper and that is what is most important.
That’s the thing about the people that claim we don’t have enough lithium…they point to current supply and say it is insufficient. But we didn’t need huge amounts of lithium until now…and when we put in an effort to find more, we find that there’s plenty of lithium out there.
Need to see prices and specs
It is amazing that Tesla still has this high of a market share in the USA. Tesla doesn’t have this much market share in Europe… American (and Japanese) automakers have really dropped the ball with EVs.
They are effectively the exact same thing.
Yes, it looks very nice.
You can get the tax-credit using the lease loophole.
Two phase? Like phases that are 90 degrees out of alignment? No.
Normal US is two 120V phases that are 180 degree apart for 240VAC.
You can do 2 phases of a 3 phase system for 208 VAC.
Autopilot also helps with driving fatigue.
I got an inexpensive old Fiat 500e for my daughter to use and although it’s a really cute little short range EV, I really miss Autopilot when driving it.
Chinese market is cutthroat competitive.
