I agree to some extent, but I don’t think players should be trying so hard that a foul is inevitable. There is a balance between playing hard and playing smart.

I do think that coaches should keep players in the game more even if they are in foul trouble - that way you can maximize the number of minutes they are on the court.

That’s true. But he was also playing much more passively when he had 5 fouls. There was a couple baskets that he basically conceded when he normally would’ve contested it more aggressively.
