I mean, that certainly doesn’t seem to be true now.
I think they would still happily use it to beat the labour party with and attempt to link Starmer back to Corbyn in people’s minds
Just because there are two things that are not what you would choose, does not make them the same. The current Labour party are not the same as the current Tory party.
I don’t like beetroot, but if I had to choose between drinking beetroot juice and bleach, throwing my hands in the air and saying “both of these are as bad as each other” is simply not true.
The conservatives are a bleach that have been poisoning this country for the most 13 years.
Anyone (at this point in the election cycle) suggesting Starmer is a Tories is either actively at accidentally working for the Conservative Party electoral machine.
How dare he actually prioritise getting elected and outting the Tories.
I mean, I’m really not sure that we can say Labour support the bombing of Gaza. Had Starmer come out and condemned the bombing he would have been called anti-Semitic and the Tories would have repeated that constantly until the election
I’m sure it was called the mandala effect
Again, empathy isn’t a limited supply
You know sympathy isn’t rationed, right?
Yes, he’s lined in unbelievable privilege. Yes, he’ll get the best care available. Yes, it is reasonable to believe and campaign for the monarchy to be abolished.
But this is still a man who has been diagnosed with cancer. For anyone, that is a scary and upsetting diagnosis and, upon hearing about it, it is only reasonable to feel sympathy for that person.
Honestly, you could be right, but I’m strongly hoping you’re not. And he’s much more left leaning than another 5 years of Tory ineptitude.
Incidentally, I also disagree that Starmer is that right wing. He’s a pragmatist that is prioritising getting into power first, and then will focus on moving the country leftwards.
For too long the left wing in this country have tried themselves into knots trying to suggest prefer policies that left them with no hope of electoral success and left the country at the mercy of right wing hate mongerers like Braverman, Johnson and Farage.
Corbyn is and was a wonderful, moral person, but fundamentally a bed candidate for leader of the Labour party at he couldn’t compromise is morals to get elected.

Labour. Massively and obviously labour.
Lion is trying really hard. I think he’s just missing the Oscar (and tick tick boom was really trying hard to win one)
“Mr Drakeford will step down in March”
