I agree, these hacks are essential for me. The fact that I can use the side button of the pen to erase, switch tools, undo… improves my workflow so much that that I could not get back to use the Remarkable without them. I also turn off gestures while I’m drawing to avoid accidentally triggering them, which is very distracting.

Just an advice, for simple sketches all works perfect, but with complex ones like the one above, with lots of brushstrokes, you’ll notice that after some hours of work if you try to erase or select+move a certain part of your drawing it will lag a lot, so I try to do these things only if I really need it. If you only keep adding brushstrokes nothing of that will happen, it’s a pleasure to use.
Well this one I did little by little around 15 mins during several days so I’m not really sure. It usually takes me around 4 hours to do a drawing like this but since I used no references maybe this time it took a bit more. I’m using a Tab S7 spen, with a small piece of rubber glued to make the recessed button more pronounced.
There are many, but my favorite and the one I’m using now is the Galaxy Tab S7 pen. It has a very nice pressure sensitivity and a side button. The official one costs around 50$ but I bought a knockoff that works just as well, it only lacks Bluetooth (that has no use on the Remarkable anyhow). It only cost me 19€.
This is how it looked using the stitch method. More details as it is a 4229x5638 picture but it looked also darker.
Thanks, it is a really capable tablet for art, Its a pity that it lags a lot at the end of the process doing certain tasks, but I try to avoid that.
Thanks, well I used to stitch screenshots of the preview windows in the Remarkable desktop app, that way I could get more details from every brushstroke, but this time I decided to just scan the screen using a flatbed scanner because I feel now that it captures better what I was actually seeing while I was working on the picture; the glass smoothens the pixels just a little and I like that.
Same here. I was holding on 2.15 until two days ago because I needed the side button actions and the disable gestures functionality of Ddvk, but now these are perfectly reproduced here so I’m very happy using the tablet now.
