Hi I’m Tim.
I’m AuDHD - officially diagnosed ADHD and self-diagnosed (for now) with ASD. I also suffer from a great deal of Imposter Syndrome.
The original Facebook was just “hot or not” for a college campus, and required invites.
I used to do this as a kid, and would add cheese to make it a “sandwich”.
“If OpenAI were to retroactively remove profit caps from investments, this would in effect transfer billions in value from a non-profit to for-profit investors,” Jacob Hilton, a former employee of OpenAI who joined before it transitioned from a nonprofit to a capped-profit structure.
I’m sure the investors weren’t selling him on the idea that if they got a bigger return he would as well, surely.
HR is designed and there to protect the company from employees, they are not really your friend any more than the corporation is your friend. They can be friendly, yes, in the same way you can work for a place that “takes care of it’s workers”, but they serve the business NOT you. I mean the name really breaks it down, Human Resources. They are there to manage the humans for the business just like any other commodity. They are also sometimes called Human Capital Management (HCM), and have a focus on training/education and extracting the most value from each employee.
Except for the narcissist that honestly believes they are crushing it, because to believe otherwise would shatter their whole world/existence.
Interesting you bring up Celiac Disease, as I found it doing some GoogleMD^tm myself, but had forgotten about pursuing it.
I’m a bit older than OP, but have almost all the same symptoms, and have gotten the same “your just getting old” response from everyone. I still believe mine is tied back to me getting COVID (only tested positive that once), and have hurt basically non-stop to some degree since. I know people have all sorts of long-COVID things from taste, smells, breathing, diabetes, heart issues (blood clots/blood pressure/etc.) and on and on. This woman at work had this wild autoimmune thing with kinda painful rash blots that would randomly popup all over her body not long after she had COVID. I guess it’s possible maybe it triggered Celiac Disease for me.
I haven’t run Jellyfin outside of docker in ages, but looks like you have at least one set of conflicting tags in your exec section of that service file you posted (web something or other I can’t see on mobile once starting this reply - you have a flat setting it and a flag disabling it).
Edit - also do you actually have something set for that list of variables in your exec?
Ubuntu is also stale old software, and shouldn’t be a distro anyone wanting a functional box running new hardware/software should use. Valve realized this and moved SteamOS to Arch so they would have a current stack not constantly 6+ months behind upstream, needing to backport everything to an outdated stack.
I"m sure the irony is intend on an election on the same day as the US celebration of Independence. =) I watched the John Oliver episode about this election though, and congrats on what looks like Labor being the big winner over the Conservative party.
Lots of feels …
The dim lights in that crowded room
They came alive just as soon as
I saw you
As I saw you
What crawls out of a heart like this
Boarded up I’ve laid my bricks
But it’s all coming down
It’s all coming down
And though tomorrow scares the life from me sometimes
And though I know what sorrow means in my bones
And though the rain will always pour
I would rather feel it all than sleep anymore
I’d rather feel it all than sleep anymore
What percentage of Signal users is “grandma” that uses Linux and would be messaging from her PC? I would have to imagine the overwhelming vast majority of Signal users are on mobile only, so packaging for specific distros is probably far down the priority list.
OP, what distro are you running? You mention a whole bunch of package formats they don’t provide, but never mention what format you require. Depending on the distro, making a build script (or converting the .deb) really isn’t Rocket Surgery ™.
Could always do what looks like the Arch AUR package is doing and build it yourself from source. Or if you are running a Fedora/OpenSuse distro you could find a package on COPR or something that converts a package from a .deb to .rpm and just change source and stuff to match signal.
For all those continuing to spread misinformation…
For all continuing to spread misinformation…
Posted this in the other thread also.
In the interest of clearing up this continuing deluge of misinformation, I think cowboy at the end of his stream today said it better than I did earlier today. Plus he is likely to know more than anyone here as he had completed both endings before release with his advanced copy.

It’s pretty clear that many people here have not even looked at the Steam store page, and are instead falling for the bait for clicks and drama from a reviewer that didn’t read, and is big sad he only got to complete the standard version pre-launch. This whole thing is manufactured drama over something that was right on the Steam page since day one. You want the stuff the guy cried about in the article, buy the Deluxe addition. Is $10 to much extra, OK, then buy the individual pieces of the deluxe addition extras you want and stop with this fake outrage for a game you most likely didn’t even buy/play anyway.
Why does any game have a deluxe addition? It usually includes more stuff up front. Did nobody read what they were paying for? It’s in plain English right on the store page.
Also seems like a bunch of people who didn’t even buy the game getting all fired up over some manufactured drama from a reviewer who didn’t read what he was getting for FREE. And now he’s all worked up because he didn’t get the deluxe addition for free and needs to pay $2.99 for the dumb camp kit or to buy a portcrystal or rift crystals or whatever.
I don’t see a link for this, but found the github page for Mentions United.
