A very small amount over the full line shouldnt cause any huge issues. My civic calls for 4.5 quarts, but that still leaves a third of the operational range without oil. I figure that the oil filter takes the additional .5 qts so I just dump a whole 5 qt jug down the hole and that gets me to the full mark.
