  • Philosophy question on trading with eliminated teams.

Typically I’m a firm believer that due to the possibility of collusion you should restrict trading with teams out of the playoffs, however I’m running into a new situation in my first year in a deeper 12-person league.

There are now three teams out of contention, and each of them have a backup QB that is miles ahead of what’s left on waivers (For example, Dobbs or Goff are sitting on benches when the best thing available on waivers is Bryce Young and Kenny Pickett). Since you’re trading for a backup, is it acceptable to offer a reasonable trade, or should those player be effectively locked out for the ROS?
