You will love it. Great for gaming, flatpaks are the standard, and local AI is easy to setup with podman.
Just be aware that installing stuff without a flatpak or appimage available can be somewhat of a pain.
Because we do not fight under conditions of our choosing, we fight where we stand.
Taxing the rich is a short-term solution, but it’s one that we can do RIGHT NOW that would be a step in the right direction. You can’t just quit capitalism cold-turkey without a bloody revolution. You have to take steps to transform society in a gradual manner.
Laparoscopic Appendectomy. Or as the doctors like to call it, a Lappy-Appy.
I was trying so hard to get GTP4ALL to work inside of obsidian because it has this localdocs feature, where you can feed it documents and it integrates them into itself. I want the model to be aware of the whole vault, and also generate notes based on the vault contents, constantly updating.
It looks like podman desktop + chatGPG obsidian plugin is the way to go through, I’m playing around with it and it looks promising.
Absolutely a concern. But calls build rapport, which makes people more likely to help you.
So that’s the question you always need to be asking: do I need this in writing? If not, then a call is enough. If you do, then even if you do call, insist on getting the info in writing. Sometimes this means writing the email yourself, and asking them to confirm.
Warm salt water. That makes sure that the water is not pulling salt out of your cells. Doing it without salt is painful and dangerous. Also the salt should be without iodine added.
I don’t have any irritation, but I’m a big robust guy, so perhaps milage may vary.
And sure, I would assume that the sinuses are self-cleaning to an extent, but they are also designed to be a filter to keep junk out of our lungs. The way I see it, I’m just cleaning the filter out before I go to bed.
Neti Pots. I clean our my sinuses every night before bed, and I rarely get sick. Of course it’s not a miracle cure, but it’s great at preventing a viral infection before it starts.

Haha, I wouldn’t expect anything less. But I don’t need to install the plugin…well…maybe I’ll just try it out for a few…danmit.
How about obsidian.md? It’s based on markdown, so edit mode has lots of keybindings, and there are all sorts of javascript plugins to add functionality.
This certainly isn’t of the same caliber as some of these other comments, but I found it to be fitting to the topic.
Last year I was having problems getting the game stellaris working on arch. (I use bazzite now, btw) My solution was the following:
If any one of those step was left out, it didn’t work. I’m no linux expert, so I didn’t have the skills to actuality find the real problem.
If you use steam I’d suggest you think about switching to bazzite. It’s made for gaming, and every steam game I’ve tried so far has worked flawlessly. I used to fiddle around with stuff to get some games working on arch, but after switching I was blown away with how easy gaming is on this distro.
I’d just like to add that after using ubuntu (as a newbie), then arch for several years I recently switched to bazzite (atomic fedora with steam/gaming focus) on my daily driver.
It is SO NICE to have everything just work. And steam games that I never got working on other distros just run out of the box. Everything just works, and it doesn’t feel bloated at all like ubuntu.
Oops, I seem to have misread you. Haha, ok, wow I am a total linux noob compared to you.
No downvote here my friend. I love arch, but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. Plug-and-play distros are great too, they just have different strong points.
You certainly have to learn new ways of doing things when you want to tinker, but they are basically UNBREAKABLE, which is my main plus point. I’m busy, I need my PC to be reliable. I don’t want to have to troubleshoot stuff just to keep it up and running.
If I had more time I would really enjoy the tinkering, but I don’t so I need my distro just work.
