So exciting having Cam back

This core isn’t good enough to win a championship which is fine. They’re playing fun, team basketball and its great to watch. I’m totally happy enjoying a 4-8 seed entertaining first round exit type of team.

I think we should try buying low on younger players for a DFS, Oneil, or Dinwiddie. I’m thinking someone like Kuminga. Someone with that type of upside and needs a change of scenery. Would also love to take a chance on Zion if we could get him for cheap.

Regarding acquiring superstars. With Beal’s back continuing to act up, I think we should hang onto the earliest Suns picks. I previously thought the 2025 pick would suck but that could end up being the golden ticket.

Without our picks there’s not much we can do which sucks. I can’t believe we’re in this type of scenario again haha.

I’m sure Magic was doing this on a nightly basis as well. I watch plenty of Jokic, Magic’s passes in just one video are on his level. He was also doing it when this type of passing didn’t exist. There’s something to say about someone revolutionizing the game.

I’m going to spam this thread with Magic highlights. Have you never seen any Magic highlights? Its chock full of them int the post making amazing interior and kick-out passes.

Agreed. They compliment each other so well. It’d be best for the team. It’d maximize Claxton’s skill set and the starting lineup, while maximizing Ben’s skillset and the bench.

Yes we should. Hes in the prime of his career and would fit perfectly with this team. We have no reason to not be as good of a team as possible!

Getting future firsts are overrated. How many times has it resulted in acquiring a top 5 pick.

The Boston/Nets situation was unique since the owner went from willing to spend an unlimited amount of money to cutting all money and trying to sell the team. Same situation with the Blazers getting Dame from the Nets. Maybe this is just a Nets thing because they decided to stay put with a very mediocre team that could result in giving the Rockets a top 5 pick this year from the Harden trade.

Other than the Nets, teams will go all out the year their unprotected picks are due. We’re seeing it now, when it’s time to pay up, teams like the Rockets are willing to go all out not to give up a top 5 pick.

I’m ready to be schooled and provided tons of examples when future unprotected picks ended up being a top 5 pick. Can anyone give examples outside of the Nets picks in recent history?
