V for Vendetta seems close though
I’m not saying ‘don’t be worried’, I’m saying ‘have a little bit of faith in the system and see how far he gets’. I take it some of the stuff he yells at easily influenced voters will be unconstitutional and I hope your checks abs balances will be strong enough to withstand the fall of your democracy.
If it’s not, well, I’ll also be fucked. So whichever way you slice it, the only thing to do is to wait and see.
I mean technically you could storm the Capitol but I think we know that doesn’t really do shit except make you a meme or a prisoner or both.
I’m not saying I understand the magnitude, but ICYMI: the populist right is also winning left and right in Europe. In my country, it’s mostly just kind of funny since these blowhards are only now realising governing a country is kind of difficult and lots of government employees are just fighting against everything that’s idiotic or destructive.
Thing is, one man can only do so much. If there are still people on the inside who have a feel for wrong and right, democracy is pretty rigid. People are desperate, but nowhere near as desperate as Germans were in the 30s after the huge sanctions and fines after The Great War.
In any event: my take on it all is to see what happens. If you voted, you did all you can do other than organising and taking to the streets. That’s essentially what your second amendment is for. To put a positive spin on it: maybe he will actually improve your admittedly declining country. I just hope the means won’t be catastrophic for anyone.
For when you REALLY don’t want your husband to live in Trump’s America
When I worked 32 hours at my first job I took out the Wednesday. It’s a great rhythm to get into, two days of work and a day or two in between.
Borderlands, particularly 2
I thought I saw Zampella from Respawn saying stuff about it. All we need is for it to be Titanfall x Battlefield 3
Edit: It adds up to what one might call classic Battlefield, but bigger — big enough that it merits the efforts of four separate studios in DICE, Motive, Ripple Effect, and Criterion (Ridgeline Games was briefly part of its development before being shuttered after founder Marcus Lehto’s departure). EA CEO Andrew Wilson claims it’s one of the “most ambitious projects in [EA’s] history.”

Don’t forget interaction with people and hugs and stuff
I have three young girls. Every now and then, this huge orange male comes in. My cats are nowhere to be seen if Orange Joe shows up.
I can’t imagine yours enjoys it but probably just rolls with it because it’s too much of a bother to fight it.
Borderlands 2 is great! Should work with Proton.
This is the type of action where it matters what the dude looks like.
I think that really depends on the news site. News from my country is very well suited for RSS.
I think what you’re describing is the need for RSS feeds. Generally, news outlets categorise their articles neatly so you subscribe with RSS to only headlines, or world events, or whatever. It requires you to have a look around the news site in question and setup RSS correctly.
The other neat thing is that you can read all your RSS feeds (ie multiple news sites) in one reader and there are tons of custom RSS apps.
I share your disdain for gossip and mainstream money grab promo. And ads. My god how much do ads suck.
Me but Vivaldi and Adnauseam.io.
Ads are a dystopian nightmare but for some reason nobody seems to care
Dude has a point though. In cinemas in the Netherlands you can just buy big ass beer bottles anyway so what’s the bfd
Keep learning Portuguese and you’ll figure it out someday
Pela neste daquilo
I understand how you might feel this way. But a key difference to the early 1930s is that there are many large-scale protests against far right extremism in Germany. The elections in the Netherlands did produce a right wing tendency, but there is no government as of yet and the PVV is still pretty far away from fascism. The other three large winners of the election are not even that right wing. At least no more than the party that ruled for the last 15 years.
That said, I do kinda hope that this phase passes quickly and that people will start to finally get along and care about our fellow humans. Even though we never have.
It’s not unusually specific here, per se. It’s just a list with descriptions of several Americans who were elected into government. I couldn’t name novel or movie characters that precisely fit these traits off the top of my head.
