Totally, just not something I want to provide my telephone number to just to watch
Totally, just not something I want to provide my telephone number to just to watch
2 hours long, so an average of about 3 minutes per artist. Might be worth it to see Living Colour and Devo at the same show, but seems too much in too little time for me
They tend to hire a lot of recent graduates, at least when I was there. People that simply don’t know better.
Amazon is kinda known for burn and churn. They like have the appearance of a good place to work by not having a dress code, letting people bring dogs in, and being the kind of place that has beer on tap. None of it is worth the burnout though
Yup. Sorry if it came across as me defending the bill. It is trash. We need actual data protections
I don’t think you’re saying it is not, but I want to add that all social media is bad for kids. This bill targets a Chinese company, but all big social media companies collect and sell user data to an alarming degree. We don’t need a TikTok ban, we need data protections.
There really isn’t a single hand writing in the US. I have not seen anyone write like the images, and mine is very different. I assume it is like in most countries that use the Latin alphabet
“Look what you made me do” is not the justification you think it is. Nobody is defending that attack, and it is still not reason enough to shoot children.
Good! Not all companies do that and I highly doubt school districts in most places will. They tend to be underfunded and understaffed
Yes. There are tons of enterprise tools to lock devices to certain activities. Surveillance is not necessary and will be used to violate privacy, and I am not talking about just on device communication. Remember when companies were caught using their employees cameras without any indication on the device? The suspected benefits of surveillance is not worth the potential harm.
Beehaw is really my only social media unless you count personal discord servers, so not a result of doom scrolling in my case. I have just seen what hyper capitalism does to new tech (looking at you, AI). But yeah, good point, in this case labor displacement is more of a concern. The article mentions requiring servers still, so that is what brought to mind the Amazon grocery stores.
Gods, I wish we lived in the kind of society where when I see something like robot servers I could simply say, “That is cool.” Unfortunately thanks to the capitalist hellscape we are in, my reaction is “How are they going to exploit people to make this work.” Like how the Amazon grab and go grocery stores turned out to be just people being paid super low wages
They are the same people most of the time. The freeze peach folks only believe in free speech for themselves
Seems like it should be configurable.
It is in some cars, just not Teslas. Kias have different levels you can set. In my ID.4 I can set it to coast or brake when letting go of the pedal. I was not a fan of the Kia method, but I think the car I test drove had some issues. My friend has an EV6 and enjoys the granularity of it.
Definitely felt cool in terms of power though.
Yeah, that is the cool thing about EVs. Instant torque. Obviously Tesla goes for that ridiculous acceleration, but all EVs have that to some extent. Hell, even the Leaf has that feeling compared to other small cars.
Why in the actual fuck did the FDA approve human trials?
That’s not just a Tesla thing, but it is more pronounced in Teslas. It is an EV thing, usually referred to as one pedal driving. It’s great because you get battery regeneration, but it for sure takes some getting used to. You have to think of the accelerator more as an analog stick than just a go pedal. Personally I prefer it, but a lot of people don’t like it.
A $3500 headset is not accessible.
I really wouldn’t be surprised to see people wearing these things out in public.
You know it is corded, right?
I have an ID.4, and their software is pretty trash. I can’t imaging adding GPT will help with anything at all. Good news is that Android Auto works really well on their vehicles. The only reason I have to use the VW is climate.
The issue is, at least in the US, the “riff raff” is usually just unhoused people looking for a place to do their business in private and maybe wash up a bit. Adding a paywall to public restrooms is just cruel.
I may be under thinking this, but couldn’t you just schedule an email to be sent on that date using whichever email provider/client you use?
