Yeah and the only way technology like this might ever get there is with companies like Google and others gathering even more data from you. Which for most people might not be a problem but I’m guessing for people on here you’d probably not like that.

I think the fact they’re going for a patent suit says they probably think they don’t have enough of an argument for a copyright suit which kind of makes sense. Just because the designs are similar doesn’t mean it’s copyright infringement.

Pretty sure it’s cause they did it without the original people (or person, not sure how many) who did the code. And so what ends up happening is the new people come in, don’t understand why things were made the way they were, and try to rework stuff to be better. Whether it actually is needed or not is a different question but either way reworking large parts of your code is bound to lead to bugs and problems.

I think in that case it makes sense to knock but in most cases if I see a single use bathrooms with the little occupied in red or vacant in green lock indicator on it I’m just gonna assume it’s free if it’s not locked and open it. I haven’t been burned by that yet because in most situations people will lock them when using them.

Twitter is just the same thing Billionaires always do, get a social media platform or news company under their control to try and make them look good.

While I do generally agree there are times when working with the government isn’t possible, much like with what’s happening in Israel. Israel has shown they’re not gonna make things better unless they’re forced to. Sure you can argue the resistance isn’t gonna work and is just a way for the leaders to have power but that doesn’t mean resisting in general isn’t justified. Even if resistance is futile it doesn’t mean that trying to resist is bad.

One reason for this is these shows don’t tend to show the morally questionable things a resistance has to do to be able to win. So it’s a lot easier to side with the resistance in Star Wars when they’re just fighting conventionally against the empire. I think a much better depiction of resistance can be seen in Star Trek Deep Space Nine with the Bajorans. They fought the Cardasians in a guerilla war which often led to civilians on both sides being killed. It’s a lot more murky but the Bajorans are still unequivocally viewed as the good guys since it was the only way to resist and get rid of the Cardasians and stop them from killing their people.

I worked at an Albertsons a couple years back for a summer and we still took checks. And there were definitely people who used them, although more often I think it was people who were using some kind of unemployment or other social programs. But yeah whenever it wasn’t a check like that it was an older person who would write the check out once they saw the total.

If it’s more then YouTube drama then there will be actual criminal charges or investigations by the IRS. Until then all the back and forth videos after the first one about whether he broke the law or not is just YouTube drama.

I just hate that I can’t swipe to easily to get to servers from messages anymore. You still can but it takes a second to load now after swiping and it’s not as consistent to get it to do it.

Edit: Also removing the member list for a server being on the right when you swipe is annoying too.

I mean it makes total sense when you look how much wages are in those two areas. Creative fields tend to pay well when you’re successful at it while the warehouse jobs are low paying. Makes sense for a corporation to want to get rid of those higher paying jobs if possible.

The reason people say that is because a lot of the time these centrist people just vote Republican every time. They’re not really independent and as much as they say they don’t fully agree with people like Trump they keep voting for him despite everything he’s done.
