Naji might have 0 BBIQ but I still love The Knife regardless, hard not to when he plays with energy like that
God Naji has negative IQ
16 of their 23 shots are 3s. If you don’t like that you don’t like 2023 NBA basketball (I don’t like 2023 NBA basketball)
This team of nobodies can’t miss a god damn shot now. So frustrating.
This would be an embarrassing loss. I don’t care about it being the second night of a b2b or no Zion, they are a 4-11 team that is missing half their team including their 2 best players.
That looked like it was still in Sexton’s hand just barely, on the angle the Utah broadcast showed. Should’ve never had the chance though lol.
I’m so sick of Larry. Keep him as a vibes and locker room guy but man is washed on the court.
Nance is one of the lowest IQ players of all time lol, this season especially. God we look awful right now, thankfully the Jazz are both awful and missing half their team.
Almost 100% of the time the best player on a championship team has to be an MVP level player. I’ll go back to 2010 just to have a clean finishing point, but you can go back further too.
2010: Lakers (Kobe)
2011: Mavs (Dirk)
2012 and 2013: Heat (LeBron)
2014: Spurs (Duncan, but tbf this was mostly team ball)
2015: Warriors (Curry)
2016: Cavs (LeBron)
2017 and 2018: Warriors (Curry and KD)
2019: Raptors (Kawhi)
2020: Lakers (LeBron)
2021: Bucks (Giannis)
2022: Warriors (Curry)
2023: Nuggets (Jokic)
Every single one of those teams had a player who had won an MVP, except for the Raptors who had Kawhi, a guy who very well could’ve won an MVP if he had ever played enough in the regular season for it. With that in mind, the only players not on that list already I could see be the #1 on a championship team is Luka, Embiid, and Tatum. In the future I could see a few different people get to that level like Ja, Ant, even Zion if he ever stays healthy long enough to put it all together.
The Pels (when healthy) are a good ass team that was #1 in the West last year until they got hit with injuries. I doubt anyone’s showing up there just expecting to win on their court. It’s just a bad matchup for the Kings (and one of the games was on the 2nd of a B2B).
Brandon Ingram is Kawhi father
If we win by more than 11 we essentially* lock up a spot in the knockout round of the IST, so this start is great.
Asterisk: Technically we could lose out to the T-Wolves if they win by a metric fuckton against OKC but it would likely be us whether from 1st in the group or wild card.
Damn the Kings are pouring it all over the Timberwolves in Minny. They must be extremely thankful to not have their guards covered by Dyson and Herb anymore.
Kings got the fix in for the 4th, real embarrassing if they don’t win now
Nance is washed, man. Bench him at this point. Love losing a 14 point lead in 3 minutes because everyone in the NBA can hit a 3 except us in that moment.
The 2023 NBA, where no lead is safe because a random ass mfer like Trey Lyles can hit 3 threes in 4 possessions.
Fire Willie Green. This team has way too consistently blown big leads in his tenure. It’s utterly ridiculous.
It’s easier than ever to blow leads in today’s NBA but this team is exceptional at it. Willie’s gotta be held accountable.
They literally are +30 over us from the 3 pt line. You can’t win basketball games like that in 2023. Can’t even blame Willie’s rotations, we have literally no shooters other than Hawkins. Desperately need Trey and CJ back.
