Popovich proved himself more than Jackson. I think both coaches can manage egos in different ways, and I think Jackson is overrated in that regard. Popovich is so ridiculously competent and has such a strong background, that most players completely buy into his systems. He would’ve done just fine with the Bulls or Lakers.

Meanwhile, we know for a fact, that Popovich is better at,

    1. Raising the floor & ceiling of a team
    2. Talent maximization
    3. Player development
    4. Play running
    5. Rotations
    6. Defensive coordinating
    7. Offensive coordination
    8. Culture building
    9. Maintaining professional relationships (Jackson was an arrogant douche who pissed off both his teams, was close to being fired in CHI before leaving, and was fired by Jim Buss)
    10. Helping with the draft

I don’t like giving credit based on hypotheticals, and as Jackson refused to coach any team without a superstar, we can never equate him to the GOACH.

Reggie has 10 years experience. Everyone knows he was better than what he produced, and he still did a lot more than this scrub. Just wait. I’m done arguing with delusional stans who can’t think. All hail Collin Giuseppe, future first ballot hall of famer. Death to anyone who thinks the team can and should improve. The Nuggets should run the exact same roster until they die from old age.

When has he looked great? He doesn’t pass the eye test and as a 22-23 year old, fifth year senior in college, he didn’t produce at a high level. I’m being cooked in the replies but 15/3/2 is not good for a 5 year college player. That’s nothing special at all.

Yeah I’m not panicking, but when you draft a senior you want immediate impact, because seniors have limited room to grow. I don’t see him as an impact player right now, and that’s a big problem for a senior. His production in college was decent but nothing special, 15/3/2 as a fifth year senior is not impressive.

Why waste time with a bad player when they can put him in the D League, give him a chance to develop his game, and get a reliable veteran to cover when Murray rests or recovers from an injury? I didn’t think my take would be controversial lol, but I guess people get attached to their young players.
