If it´s expensive, mechanical. Shame to waste precious metal and gems on a quartz. If your budget is over €500 I´d go for a mechanical watch. If under, quartz if she will wear it on occasion only.

I was opting for Blancpain first, but I’ve decided to go for their villeret quantième complet blue dial watch. And I’m a 1 watch per brand Andy, so Blancpain wasn’t an option.
Sinn 1736 Classic is a good one alongside the other suggestions.
