Throughout all this chaos, I think something that might have flown under the radar is Giannis’ defensive efforts this season. I swear, this guy, in like 15 games, already has a better highlight real of blocks than some players have in their whole careers.

There’s a lot more that aren’t shown here, but those are mostly regular defensive possessions. I think something underrated about having Dame (and Khris now) in the clutch is that that allows Giannis to focus most of his energy in the defense, which he’s taking full advantage with already having like 5 blocks in the clutch, which is tied most in the NBA.

He’d also have two game-winning blocks if Caruso didn’t hit that insane shot in Chicago.

So for context: Payne hit the three pointer, and then a few minutes later the PA announced that it was considered an out of bounds turnover and that the three points had been removed. This was very odd. I didn’t even know they could do this.
