You can also clone the repo and build the container yourself. If you want to update say, log4j, and then attempt to build it, that’s still entirely possible and easier than from scratch considering the build environment is consistent.

Based on your description it sounds like you haven’t given it a fair shake. I’ll take TS over JS any day, at least there is room for improvement. Keep in mind anyone using the tool on your behalf would be able to keep a copy of all your emails for themselves, so there is definitely some motivation to learn there.
