EDIT: I’m not just gonna potentially do the propaganda work of a nation state. So I’ll add my personal opinion here. It is very possible both these sources are influenced to pushing regime change, and not for the people, but their own self-interests. The numbers are extremely high, and many adjacent information don’t line up with this narrative. Please use your own critical thinking.

I think it’s just 24 hours that had passed between these two photos.

Usually when you search for a headline you’ll find the article, or links to the article. I couldn’t even find this article.

However, a similar memed article went viral with the headline “Florida man kidnaps scientist to make his dog immortal”, and that one also did not originate from an actual news article, but a badly labeled meme site. https://checkyourfact.com/2024/07/10/fact-check-florida-man-kidnapping-scientist-dog-immortal/

I’m not arguing against that, just drawing attention to what kind of ‘light’ they are given. It’s not like there are only two perspectives.
